LAZY BETTY
Midtown Atlanta, GA
Lazy Betty, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Atlanta, showcases earthy tones, abundant natural light, and sustainability-focused elements, thoughtfully repurposing furnishings to enhance authenticity. Carefully refinished heart pine floors preserve their character, while the bar top, reworked from stone, adds nature’s durability and elegance. The striking bar area is adorned with lush plants and brass accents, greeting guests upon entry. Warm terracotta walls, teal velvet banquettes, and custom light fixtures by Christina Kwan enrich the main dining area, complemented by the local touch of Jenifer Thoem’s sculpted birds. The Semi-Private Dining Room features repurposed barn doors that lead to the Chef’s Dining Room, where Christina Kwan’s mural reflects the playful yet sophisticated menu. A repurposed steel and glass window provides a glimpse into the main dining room through a featured wine display. Whether stopping by for a crafted cocktail at the bar or enjoying a romantic tasting menu in the dining room, the design invites patrons to unwind in an immersive, nature-inspired ambiance that promotes comfort and well-being.
