Polaris
Atlanta, GA
When Polaris opened in 1967, the rotating restaurant was a futuristic novelty, perched above the 22-story Hyatt Regency on Peachtree Street. Now the restaurant is an Atlanta landmark, and when we were asked to redesign the interiors, we took cues from mid-century modern glamour. Near the host area, we created a bespoke mirrored brass wall, which greets you as you exit the restaurant’s famous glass elevators. An open kitchen is situated at Polaris’ stationary core, while the bar, as well as clusters of lounge and dining seating, are located on the rotating platform. Guests sit facing panoramic city views while sipping craft cocktails and nibbling small plates.
